Peter Sorcher

Whether he’s mountain biking out his back door, backcountry skiing in Alaska or filmmaking anywhere, for Peter it’s all about being engaged in the things that inspire. It’s this passion and combination of interests that Peter brings to his life as a director.

In 2014, his multi-narrative campaign for the Speaking Photo app earned high marks as “Ad of the Day” from Adweek. In 2012, he was honored by Shoot Magazine as “Best Work of 2012” for the emotional and inspiring piece “Hacking Autism” with Goodby Silverstein and partners. He was featured in Shoot Magazine in 2012 as a “director to watch.”

Peter began his filmmaking career as an editor at Red Car NYC and has worked with some of the most venerable ad agencies and clients in addition to director award winning documentaries.

Peter remains involved in the edit and this reflects his craftsman approach. His ability to blend story and emotion through image and sound has inspired clients such as Nike, Coke, Reebok, Levis, GAP, The North Face and CLIF Bar.
